The VLP bearing the SAIKKPVT peptide elicits antibodies that inhibit parasite invasion. (A) Pooled sera from mice immunized with the VLP displaying the SAIKKPVT peptide were tested for their ability to inhibit 3D7 invasion (concentrations used from 0.1 mg/mL to 1.0 mg/mL). Invasion inhibition ranged from 22% to 92%. Purified IgG from naïve mouse sera was used at equivalent concentrations as negative controls. Error bars show standard error.
