Protocol for preparing Giemsa-stained RBC monolayers on hydrophilic-treated COC plates. After hydrophilic treatment of COC plates (a), parasite-infected RBCs were added to the plates (b). A picture of a plate is also shown. Cells were allowed to bind to the plates. After removing non-adherent cells (c), the plates were dried rapidly (d). The cells were distributed as a monolayer on the plates.
