Pathway 19 Human health: Potentially increased biting rate of dsxFCRISPRh transgenics could increase disease transmission in humans. Although increased biting on humans (a2) could lead to increases in vectorial capacity, overall the net effect of the population suppression gene drive could ultimately be to reduce this potential harm by reducing the density of mosquitoes (A) including transgenic ones.
