Human IgG antibodies against P. vivax recombinant proteins were detected by Bioplex. One μg of wheat germ cell-free-produced proteins were individually coupled to beads and incubated with 40 different individual plasma samples (1:100 dilution) followed by biotinylated human IgG isotypes and detected using PE-streptavidin. Fluorescence was determined as the mean fluorescence intensity (MFI). GST values were subtracted from MFI values obtained against individual recombinant proteins and the cut-off defined as the mean value of control sera + 3 standard deviations.
