Fluorescence staining using anti-PFL2610w and anti-MSP-1 antibodies was analysed in (A) a P. falciparum schizont, (B) a ruptured schizont and (C and D) free merozoites. Bright field images (left column), DAPI stained parasite nuclei (second column), Alexa 488 stained MSP-1 (third column), Alexa 594 stained STEVOR proteins (fourth column) and the overlay of nuclei, MSP-1 and STEVOR proteins (fifth column) are shown.
